Amidst the planet's significant ecological challenge, Mexico boasts talent that proposes economically viable solutions, captivating some of the world's largest companies.

Five years ago, Carlos Gómez Andonaegui, former CEO of Grupo Martí (owner of Sport City) and chairman of Endeavor México, concerned about the high water consumption in gym showers, joined forces with his father, Emilio Gómez Varela (the original creator of the Nebia shower), a retired engineer and former IBM director in the sixties and seventies. They decided to develop a shower that could reduce water consumption and energy usage while providing an exceptional bathing experience. Two years later, they created the first prototype. Through Endeavor, they met Philip Winter, who was working with the organization in Mexico. They invited him to become Nebia's current CEO. With the vision of establishing a global company, they traveled and settled in Silicon Valley to refine their product and captivate consumers worldwide.

Through a partnership with the design company Box Clever, and with the addition of Gabriel Parisi-Amon to the team, a former Apple employee in the iPhone manufacturing design team, they went through 12 prototype iterations before achieving the desired outcome. They created an unforgettable shower experience, covering ten times more surface area than a traditional shower while consuming 70% less water. Over 500 people, including Joe Gebbia, Airbnb's co-founder, and Sam Altman, president of Y-Combinator, a project accelerator, have fallen in love with the Nebia shower. They have also garnered investment interest from Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, and Eric Schmidt, chairman of Alphabet (formerly Google).

Given California's severe drought over the past five years and increasing ecological awareness, this eco-friendly shower of Mexican origin has captured global attention, raising over $1.5 million in its first three days on Kickstarter. Speaking with Philip Winter, Nebia's CEO, he shared, "We aim to raise awareness about water consumption among people, and the shower is one of the significant areas where we can achieve this. Additionally, with mass production, we hope to offer an affordable product for developing countries in the coming years. We aim, with Nebia and other water-related products, to reduce global domestic water consumption by 50% over the next 5 to 10 years, creating a successful enterprise."

It's evident that the world faces a significant ecological challenge, and Mexico possesses the talent to propose economically viable solutions that captivate major global corporations and help reverse the adverse effects humans have had on the environment.
